Freja Kir Kirchheiner is a media researcher and designer. She lectures in Design and Visual Interaction at the Royal Danish Academy, Copenhagen, and is the co-founder of the critical design studio fanfare and the publishing initiative stanza. Her research sits at the intersection of critical media studies and feminist science and technology studies, developed through artistic and design-led practice. Her doctoral thesis, The Platform Imagination, examines how creative practices render digital platforms and their components perceptible and open to critical engagement.
