Mo Wunderwald (they/them) is a musician and media artist based in Vienna, Austria. Their practice is centred on sound and extends into sound art, digital animation, performance and installation, often combining these into immersive and hybrid formats. Mo is writing and performing music with the bands Laikka and Itchi and is part of Vienna’s queer experimental club culture as a DJ. Their recent art work includes animated short films and sound art in physical and digital spaces. Their animated short "no horse zone" has been awarded Best Sound at the Best Austrian Animation Festival in 2024. With Laikka they have received nominations at the Amadeus Music Awards and the Shape+ program and wrote a commissioned piece for Ö1's Musikprotokoll in 2025.
