We’ll walk through the core building blocks called Operators, where we will focus on the ones used to handle images and video (aka TOPs). After the introduction, there is time to experiment and begin your own small project. You’re welcome to bring images or video to play with, but it’s not required. Prior coding experience can be helpful, but it’s not required — just bring your own laptop with TouchDesigner installed (free for non-commercial use).

Ikebana (生け花) flower arrangement rest-shop is a gentle, hands-on experience in Japanese flower arranging, guided by mindfulness and intentionality. You’ll take home your own Ikebana flower arrangement, along with a flower frog (kenzan).

No level of coding skills required, newbies very welcome! But please note that the organizers are not facilitating a coding class. Everyone is bringing their own projects. If you’d like to be part of a project in SOFTER Lab but don’t feel ready to host a workshop on your own, or if you’d prefer to collaborate, you can to join someone else’s project. Feel free to join with an already existing idea or to come and be inspired on the day!
