Queer Coding Club is a monthly club for people who identify as queer. A social space to hang out with other queer techies: develop your skills with likeminded people, work on your personal coding projects, get creative.

This is a separatist coding club for people who fall somewhere on the queer spectrum, in order to create a social space different from what you might find at work or at school. No level of coding skills required, newbies very welcome! Drop by for an hour or the whole day. We will provide snacks, bring your own laptop.

Tech-queries with Polly

Are you curious about software, hardware and everything in between? Would you like to know more about what’s actually going on in the technological objects we use everyday? Do you dream of a hacker (or cyber security) career and don’t know where to start? Or do you just like to ask questions?

Are you curious about software, hardware and everything in between? Would you like to know more about what’s actually going on in the technological objects we use everyday? Do you dream of a hacker (or cyber security) career and don’t know where to start? Or do you just like to ask questions?

Join us for Tech-queries with Polly Boutet-Livoff — software and firmware engineer, champion hacker and your guide to all things tech — in a space where all questions are welcomed, no matter how smart, foolish, deep or specific they are.

Join us for a two-day workshop in the name of drag and drop websites! During the two days we will be teaching the basics of the easy and accessible no-code design tool Readymag.

Whether you're a creative looking to build a portfolio, a freelancer who wants to build a website for a client or a passion project, or if you’re just curious about websites, this workshop is for you!

The event is suitable for absolute beginners, but if you have a bit of experience and you would like to join, you are very welcome.

We will take you through the full process of designing, building and publishing your site. Including a quick introduction to domains and mapping. The goal is to get something live and published by the end of the second workshop.

Tickets include 6 months of free monthly personal plan for Readymag for each participant.

Roundtable with Rifke

Join us for a roundtable conversation with SOFTER all star and web legend, Rifke Sadleir. In a digital landscape full of templated, optimised sameness, Rifke’s work creates digital spaces for curiosity, play, and nostalgia, adventures that remind us that the internet doesn’t have to be so serious.

During the evening Rifke will share some of her favourite projects, talk about inspiration, her love of trinkets and how her playful perspective shapes the way she designs for the web.

We will serve pizza and facilitate a conversation on inspiration, play and curiosity, and celebrate the quirky and poetic internet.
