Over 3 days we will transform The Harmony in Rødvig, Denmark into a magical & soft utopia of workshops, exhibitions, talks, panels, performances, shared meals and collective imagination.

You will enter a parallel universe where we will imagine and create the futures that we long for. It’s a space for meeting likeminded people, getting inspired by the SOFTER network, learning new skills and asking new questions. Together we explore how a softer approach to technology can create more democratic, caring and creative digital futures.

This year we are also relocating SOFTER Lab to the conference, softening up the programme, with more time to participate in workshops, to engage with installations, and more time for collective conversations and to connect with each other.

Welcome to a weekend of debating, investigating and celebrating softer values in the digital world. Through talks, panels, workshops, shared meals and moments under the autumn sky we will explore how the future of technology can be based on empathy, care and community.

The program includes a workshop with media artist and cultural organizer Alice Yuan Zhang (US), a talk by climate activist Selma de Montgomery (DK) and delicious homemade cake, cucumber sandwiches and tea.

The themes of the first SOFTER Sunday are technology, climate activism, community and perceptions of nature. These themes are are undeniably connected and relevant in a time where the technological development is both a part of the problem and the solution.
