SOFTER was born from a longing for a community and learning space where we could see ourselves and our values reflected. Our community hosted events encourage volunteer peer-to-peer learning and the soft exchange of knowledge, ideas and skills.

Digital workshop: INTL x SOFTER

Explore soft, open-source, community-built digital tools with us and INTL — offering an alternative to the current landscape of creative tech.

Explore soft, open-source, community-built digital tools with us and INTL — offering an alternative to the current landscape of creative tech.

Open-source tools include custom typography editors, visual effects renderers (dithering, pixelating, gradients etc.) and drum machines, just to name a few.

We’ll also foster open dialogue, encouraging you to carry this mindset into your creative practice beyond the workshop and to reimagine how technology can embody care, curiosity, and collaboration.

No design or coding experience necessary.

Queer Coding Club

Queer Coding Club is a monthly club for people who identify as queer. A social space to hang out with other queer techies: develop your skills with likeminded people, work on your personal coding projects, get creative.

Queer Coding Club is a monthly club for people who identify as queer. A social space to hang out with other queer techies: develop your skills with likeminded people, work on your personal coding projects, get creative.

This is a separatist coding club for people who fall somewhere on the queer spectrum, in order to create a social space different from what you might find at work or at school. No level of coding skills required, newbies very welcome! But please note that the organizers are not facilitating a coding class. Everyone is bringing their own projects. Questions, helping each other and chit chat is encouraged. Drop by for an hour or the whole day. We will provide snacks, bring your own laptop.
